Last year, medical facilities in Odessa conducted approximately 300 bronchoscopy procedures. This enabled the timely identification of 45 suspected cases of oncological diseases and directed patients for further consultations and treatments.

Bronchoscopy is a procedure that examines the trachea and bronchi using an endoscope, aiding in the early detection of respiratory organ cancers. It is recommended to undergo bronchoscopy routinely after the age of 50, even in the absence of complaints.

This procedure is part of the state medical guarantee program and is provided free of charge with a referral from a family or treating doctor, particularly for patients receiving inpatient care.

Modern bronchoscopy equipment has been purchased for medical institutions in Odessa using city budget funds. Free bronchoscopy can be scheduled at the following locations:
- Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 - Dobrovoltsiv St. (Marshal Hovorov), 26a;
- City Clinical Hospital No. 1 - Myasoyedovskaya St., 32;
- City Clinical Hospital No. 10 - Oleksiy Vadaturskyi St. (Marshal Malynovskyi), 61;
