A new project aimed at improving the barrier-free infrastructure has recently been launched in Odesa. The first information points have been set up in key areas serving areas with active pedestrian traffic and important social facilities.

The Barrier-Free Route project continues to be implemented.

Today, the second phase of the initiative has started: activists of the Movement for Barrier-Free Access have installed special markers at public transport stops, in the courtyards of residential buildings and near important social facilities. These markers will help people with disabilities navigate the city.

The project is being implemented in Odesa on the initiative of Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov. Coordination is provided by the Barrier-Free Council, which includes experts, veterans and representatives of NGOs.
