The Ukrainian Boxing Championship among men and women (elite) 2025 concluded triumphantly in Odessa, dedicated to the Security Service of Ukraine!
From March 9 to 16, the sports complex "Olympiec" was the true hub of Ukrainian boxing. 204 of the strongest athletes from the country — 69 women and 135 men — competed for victory, showcasing their character, skill, and desire for championship.
Among the prize winners were representatives from Odesa:
- Nikita Pohovyi (63.5 kg) Coaches — Serzhenyuk Mykhailo and Pobrezhets Yevhenii
- Havryliuk Vladislav (51 kg) Coaches — Bilyk Yevhenii and Kharlamov Valerii
- Tahiev Isa (54 kg) Coaches — Osipchuk Volodymyr and Hordiienko Ihor
- Bondarenko Oksana (54 kg) Coaches — Medoyan Andrii and Osipchuk Volodymyr
The total prize fund of the competition was 1,000,000 UAH!
For the first time in the history of Ukrainian boxing, each champion in 12 women's and 13 men's weight categories received 40,000 UAH in prizes.
All finalists were awarded medals, diplomas, official calendars, and champions received winner's trophies. Coaches and mentors behind each sporting triumph were also recognized.
During the ceremonial part of the finals, the First Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Kharlov, greeted athletes, coaches, and guests. He emphasized the high level of organization of the championship and the skill of the athletes, wishing them fair and spectacular matches.
The Ukrainian Championship 2025 once again proved that Ukrainian boxing is strength, character, and the pursuit of victory! Odesa region takes pride in its athletes and continues to support them on their way to new heights!
