A major community clean-up event occurred in Odessa.
In Preobrazhensky Park, 100 trees were planted. Overall, nearly 200 trees were planted throughout various locations in the city, including Japanese sophoras, acacias, maples, and ashes.
Along Uspenska Street and on French Boulevard, 33 Japanese sophoras and 32 acacia trees were planted where stumps had been removed.
«Last year, we purchased stump removal equipment for the Municipal Greenery Department using city funds. What used to take a full day now takes only half an hour for each stump. We are planting new trees in the cleared spaces. I thank everyone who participated», — noted Odessa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, local residents, together with city workers, planted trees along Mykolaivska Road and cleaned up the slopes along the Health Trail.
