The Odesa region has kicked off an initiative to modernize educational spaces: preparations for specialized education are underway.

Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Anton Shalyhaylo and Director of the Department of Education Oleksandr Lonchak participated in an event focused on new approaches to designing educational environments, held in Kyiv with government officials and representatives of the educational community.

This event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the senior school reform, aimed at discussing further cooperation on the arrangement of classrooms, laboratories, and workshops in general secondary and vocational education institutions for the upcoming academic year with funding from state and local budgets.

The government allocated nearly 500 million UAH for the modernization of specialized school classrooms. The selection of project applications for receiving grant funding in 2025 for the creation of modern educational spaces has already begun.

Well-equipped classrooms will create conditions for the successful implementation of the senior school reform, allowing students starting in 2027 to choose their study profiles, subjects, and courses according to their interests and visions for the future.
