This biopic serves as a chronicle of the quest for truth, beauty, and the spirit of the times. It is fitting that we shot this film in Odesa and Kyiv, where it all began.
Every scene captures the essence of the past, showcasing a love for Ukrainian cinema and the director, who viewed the world as an artist and created as a true craftsman. Dovzhenko did not just make films; he lived them.
We aimed to do the same: navigate this journey under challenging conditions, yet with immense faith in the power of Ukrainian cinema.
