A new campaign titled "Coffee for a Cause" has launched in Odessa's educational institutions.

This initiative, introduced a year ago by the city’s Department of Education, has gained popularity among locals and has become a cherished tradition in our city.

At school fairs, visitors can buy tasty treats made with love by our children, parents, and teachers.

Every cup of coffee purchased is not just a delightful drink but also a meaningful contribution to our collective effort.

"Coffee from educators has once again united us all around a common goal – to support those who defend our country every day. All funds raised will be donated to the Armed Forces, ensuring our soldiers feel our support and gratitude," said Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.

The Director of the Department of Education and Science, Olena Buinevych, thanked everyone for their incredible support, noting that the "Coffee for a Cause" initiative raised nearly 1.7 million hryvnias in just a few days.

Additionally, treats and gifts from children have been given to veterans undergoing rehabilitation.

In Odessa, rehabilitation departments operate in nearly all city hospitals, but inpatient care is only part of the long process of integrating veterans into civilian life.  Next steps include adaptive sports, professional retraining, or starting a business, allowing individuals with disabilities to meet their needs and those of their families.
