Rowers from Odesa showcased their skills by winning 6 medals at the Ukrainian championship.
From July 16 to 20, the personal Ukrainian championship in kayaking and canoeing was held in Uman (Cherkasy region), serving as a qualifying event for the world championship.
Albina Yakobchuk, a student of KDYUSH № 6, who continues to enhance her athletic skills at the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery «Olympiec», earned 4 medals.
In the mixed quadruple event over 500 meters, she became the Ukrainian champion, while finishing third in the 1000 meters (C-1), 500 meters (C-2), and 200 meters (C-2) events.
Vadym Boichuk, a representative of the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery «Olympiec», secured a silver medal in the 1000 meters (K-2) and a bronze medal as part of the quad in the 200 meters event.
The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg Zhylkin and Mykola Kravchuk.
