Daily, around 180 employees from the Municipal Enterprise 'Miskzelentrest' work to improve the city's green areas. They maintain order in parks, care for plants, manage storm damage, and plant new trees.
Since the beginning of the year, the team has pruned 81,187 rose bushes and conducted formative pruning on 464 decorative weeping trees.
On their assigned territories, the staff has sown lawn grasses covering 18,723 sq. m. Weeding efforts encompassed 164,183 sq. m, with 2,519 dry branches cut down. Additionally, litter was cleared from 42,988 ha, and lawns were cleaned of branches and debris totaling 164.68 cubic meters.
Traditionally, with the arrival of spring, the gardeners start creating flower compositions. In 2023, 2,880 sq. m of spring flower beds were planted, featuring daisies, salvia, and violets. After these spring flowers fade, they are replaced with summer blooms. A total of 4,117 sq. m of summer flower beds were created with salvia, tagetes, geraniums, and other flowers. Additionally, 41,476 perennials such as chrysanthemums and hydrangeas were planted.
Last summer, 88 vertical flower pots adorned the city.
All flower seedlings for spring and summer beds are cultivated in the 'Rose' greenhouses owned by the enterprise.
In 2024, it is planned to plant 3,246 trees and 3,104 shrubs throughout all city districts. These trees are over 10 years old, increasing their survival chances in the urban environment.
The Municipal Enterprise 'Miskzelentrest' also regularly conducts maintenance on park furniture and children's playgrounds.
To preserve the health of the city's green spaces, employees routinely remove advertising signs attached to trees, as this can lead to various plant diseases.
