From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka in the Rivne region hosted the National Championship and the open All-Ukrainian Class A tournament "Children of Ukraine XXV" in taekwondo (WTF).
This event served as a qualifier for the European Championship, scheduled to take place in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
A total of 140 athletes participated in the national championship, while 465 taekwondo competitors from across the country competed in the tournament.
Odessa athletes performed outstandingly, bringing home six medals from the national championship.
Among the champions were athletes from the Higher Sports School "Olympian" - Renata Podolyana and Maria Labuzova. Bronze medals were claimed by athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17: Oleksandr Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Viktor Semanyuk, and Yulia Hamurar.
Odessa juniors and cadets also showcased their skills at the open All-Ukrainian Class A tournament "Children of Ukraine XXV" by winning eight medals.
The tournament winners included Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals were awarded to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.
The athletes were coached by instructors Yulia Podolyana and Viktor Semanyuk.
In Odessa, 178 athletes are training in taekwondo (WTF) at Children and Youth Sports Schools No. 17 and No. 7.
