In anticipation of the I/O 2025 conference, Google has released a mobile version of NotebookLM for Android and iOS platforms. Until now, the service was only accessible through a web browser.
NotebookLM is an AI-based tool that assists users in managing complex information by creating summaries and allowing questions to be directed at sources. The mobile version introduces support for Audio Overviews — automatically generated podcasts based on uploaded materials, which can be listened to offline and in the background.
Users can create new notebooks, view saved ones, and add websites, PDF files, or YouTube videos through the standard "Share" menu. The app also supports both light and dark themes based on device settings.
Further details about NotebookLM are expected to be announced during the Google I/O conference on May 21.
