As part of the Internet Safety Day, a series of interactive lectures titled “Empowering Youth in Digital Safety” was held in Odesa. The primary goal of these lectures is to educate children on how to navigate the internet safely and recognize misleading information.
Led by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity at Odesa National Technological University, the sessions covered essential topics such as media literacy fundamentals, safe smartphone usage, the dangers of free Wi-Fi networks, and the way adversaries exploit the information space and the internet.
This series of lectures is a crucial step towards improving children's awareness of cybersecurity and helping them feel more confident in the online environment.
