A new sculpture named «Time» by Mikhail Reva has been officially unveiled in Odessa's Greek Park.

This artwork features a mythological hero holding a shattered amphora, a representation of the universe's fragility, the fleeting nature of time, and the significance of our creations.

During the ceremony, Odessa's mayor Gennady Trukhanov emphasized that the park is not just a space, but a philosophy of life forged in partnership with the Greek diaspora.

«The Garden of Life is our symbol: we do not stop; we continue to create, build, and grow, even in the toughest times», remarked Trukhanov.

Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in Odessa, Mr. Christos Zacharopoulos, noted that Odessa and Greece share a historical bond that began on these very streets, and the Greek Park represents our unity today.

Honorary citizen of Odessa and philanthropist Panteleimon Bumburas stressed that supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a matter of honor for his family, but preserving culture and inspiring people is equally important.

«Art cannot win a war, but it has the power to heal souls, bring light, and tell the world: we love life, we cherish peace, we aspire to create. This message we convey further, as Odessa is a city that always inspires», said the sculptor Mikhail Reva at the unveiling.

The first part of the «Garden of Life» exhibition was opened back on June 5, 2021, when Mikhail Reva introduced a trio of sculptures: «Birth of the Soul», «Paradise Apple Tree», and «Apple of Life». The artist envisions a total of 13 sculptures in the Greek Park, each symbolizing a parable about birth, spiritual growth, harmony, and the connection between humanity and nature.
