The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with support from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, will allocate 2 million euros for the development of the Superhumans prosthetics center in Odesa. This was announced by Helen Bakker, Director General for European Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a joint press conference in Odesa.
Support for Ukrainian Medical Initiatives
Helen Bakker emphasized that the ongoing rocket and drone attacks from Russia highlight the importance of providing Ukraine with both military and humanitarian assistance. The Superhumans center plays a crucial role in rehabilitating the health of both military personnel and civilians injured due to the war, and this financial support will significantly contribute to its operations.
The press conference also announced the establishment of a new cooperation format “Ukraine – Benelux,” which includes foreign ministers from the respective countries, including Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
