On April 15, the World Art Day, the presentation of a new commemorative coin titled «The World of Couture Art. Lyubov Panchenko» took place. This coin pays tribute to the remarkable figure of Ukrainian culture, the artist, and designer Lyubov Panchenko.

This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The coin has a nominal value of 10 hryvnias and is made of 925 silver, with a striking quality category of «special uncirculated». Its pure metal weight is 31.1 g, and the diameter is 38.6 mm. The edge of the coin is smooth with recessed inscriptions indicating the metal, its fineness, and the logo of the Banknote-Minting House.

The obverse of the coin features a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, surrounded by elements from her famous work «Bucha Spring».

The artist's gaze, filled with creative energy and freedom, symbolizes her connection to her homeland. The composition emphasizes her deep roots and commitment to her ideals.

«Bucha Spring» is not just a painting; it is a symbol of beauty and resilience, as the artist was born and lived in Bucha. This image will forever remain in the memory of the city and in the hearts of her admirers, becoming a symbol of hope for revival.

The creators of the coin are artist Andriy Sahach and sculptor Volodymyr Dmyenko.

I am honored to present this coin that celebrates Lyubov Panchenko – a legendary Ukrainian artist whose work has become synonymous with freedom. She played an active role in creating a new Ukrainian culture, boldly asserting her right to national identity. This coin, like her artistic creations, will forever preserve the echoes of her extraordinary personality and Ukrainian character. It embodies the resilience of our culture and honors the invaluable contribution of the artist to the development of Ukrainian art, – emphasized the Chairman of the National Bank Andriy Pyshny.
