On June 1st, a ceremonial opening of a new art installation titled "Ship of the Earth" took place along the Health Trail near "Vidrada" beach in Odessa.
The artist behind this creation is the esteemed Ukrainian artist Mykhailo Reva.
"This new sculpture reminds us of essential values – childhood, dreams, and the fragility of the world we build together," said Odessa's mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov. "The composition serves as a message from children to adults: preserve peace, love the earth, and create the future. In the shiny sphere of the sculpture, where sky meets water, we see the reflection of the ideal world we strive for."
The composition symbolizes movement, life, and the harmony of elements, addressing all of us as the voice of children: safeguard peace, cherish the earth, and shape the future. In the shiny sphere, where sky and sea converge, lies our collective yearning for an ideal world. Such works of contemporary art make our city vibrant, bright, and unique.
