As of November 23, 2024, vehicle traffic is restricted on Vitaliy Blazhko Lane (formerly Marinezka) in Odesa due to the ongoing construction of a drainage system. This initiative aims to stabilize landslide processes by creating drainage to intercept groundwater, especially during heavy rainfall, preventing further slope saturation and subsidence.
Due to the continuation of the drainage system construction, traffic restrictions on Vitaliy Blazhko Lane have been extended until August 2, 2025.
The relevant order has been signed by the mayor.
In light of these works, temporary changes will be made to public transport routes:
- bus routes No. 168, 240, 250
heading towards the Peresyp Bridges – from Pasteur St. to Olhiivska St. (left turn), Staropotofrankivska St., Olhiivskyi Lane, Balkivska St., and Chornomorske Kozakstvo St. following their routes;
- bus routes No. 105, 121, 145, 146, 242
heading towards the Peresyp Bridges - from Preobrazhenska St. to Futurists Lane (Mayakovskyi Lane), Military Lane, Primorska St., and Chornomorske Kozakstvo St. following their routes;
- tram route No. 7
from Chornomorske Kozakstvo St. to 28th Brigade St. (Paustovskyi St.) and back.
The tram route No. 3 “16th station of Lustdorf Road – Pasteur St.” will be organized with access to Starosinna Square.
