At the area of the 11th station of the Great Fountain, the renovation of the beach to accommodate individuals with disabilities is in full swing.
The project is managed by the City Engineering Protection Department and the Coastal Development Department of the Odessa City Council.
Currently, a metal framework and terrace decking have been installed at the beach, along with fencing elements on the traverse. A metal ramp for access to the sea is being assembled and installed.
Additionally, precast concrete ramps and decking have been brought to the site, along with fencing elements for the retaining wall.
Significant repairs have also been made to the external sewage system and sewage pumps, as well as updates to changing rooms and showers. Concrete stairs have been constructed for easier access to the beach area.
Renovations are in progress for the restrooms, medical station, and storage/security area for persons with limited mobility.
Preparations for a concrete area to install exercise equipment are also underway.
For the safety of future beachgoers, a concrete shelter has been constructed and installed.
Completion of the renovation work for the inclusive beach is expected by the end of June 2025.
