Last week, a large-scale health initiative was held in Odessa to mark World Health Day, aimed at improving the health of the city's residents.
This initiative was organized with the support of the Odessa City Council and the Health Center to ensure accessibility to medical services.
During the event, free screenings were offered at medical institutions, where participants could receive consultations from doctors, measure blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and undergo ECG tests. Patients were given electronic referrals for laboratory tests as needed.
According to the event's outcomes, 2536 individuals took the opportunity to undergo medical screenings. Additionally, 55 employees in an administrative building were examined by doctors with the support of the Kyiv district administration. A total of 331 cases of high blood pressure and 200 cases of elevated blood glucose levels were identified. Following ECG assessments, 258 patients were referred to a cardiologist.
For those requiring further examinations, 1112 electronic referrals for laboratory tests and 640 for specialist consultations were issued. All patients received medical consultations.
These health days serve to timely identify health issues, raise awareness among citizens about prevention, and remind everyone of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
