Odesa showcased its achievements once again at the national conference for the project «Movement without Barriers».
On June 18, 2025, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine hosted the second national meeting focused on the implementation of the «Movement without Barriers» initiative.
The event was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksii Kubel, alongside Deputy Minister Natalia Kozlovska.
Secretary of the Barrier-Free Council, Oleksandr Zhiltsov, reported on the progress of the city's Barrier-Free Plan, highlighting critical locations such as hospitals and transport hubs.
Odesa is actively implementing inclusive bus stops, operating social taxis, adapting medical facilities, and launching support programs for veterans and individuals with limited mobility.
All these initiatives are coordinated by the Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, and the Barrier-Free Council at the Odesa City Council.
Odesa is part of the pilot communities involved in the «Movement without Barriers» project, which is being implemented under the national strategy until 2030, patronized by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
