Odessa is actively implementing the initiative «Barrier-Free Movement».
Recently, an online meeting took place with the central office team of this initiative, chaired by the Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, along with Deputy Minister Natalia Kozlovska.
During the meeting, the progress of the project in Odessa was discussed, including existing initiatives and future plans.
The city has received new proposals for implementing barrier-free solutions that are now moving into the practical phase. Key priorities include engaging businesses to adapt entrances to commercial establishments in line with current state building codes.
Some reconstruction work has already commenced in areas designated for the first phase of the barrier-free route.
Odessa consistently ranks among the leaders in implementing barrier-free solutions.
