Starting September 2, Odesa will reactivate tram route No. 7 «North — South», providing direct connection between the city’s most distant areas — from 28th Brigade Street to the 11th station of Lustdorf Road.
The route covers over 120 stops and serves up to 70,000 passengers daily.
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, emphasized that the repairs on Blazhka descent (formerly Marinesko descent) have been completed, all testing has been conducted, and starting tomorrow, 13 new multi-section, comfortable, barrier-free trams acquired in cooperation with the European Investment Bank will hit the route.
Accordingly, from September 2, the operation of tram route No. 3, which ran on the route: «11th station of Lustdorf Road – Pasteur Street», will be discontinued.
