A modern well complex featuring an artesian well has been successfully completed at 60v Heroes of Defense of Odesa Street in the Peresyp district.
This facility serves as the second source of quality drinking water in this densely populated area. Plans are underway to construct two more wells on Academician Sakharov Street and near Vladislav Buvalkin Street.
The site includes a technical building, staff rooms, a pumping station, a ventilation and air conditioning system, a fire alarm system, and a diesel generator to ensure uninterrupted operation in case of power outages.
“This is not just a technical facility — it is a guarantee of safety and care for the people. We realized how crucial it is to have backup water sources during the disruptions caused by enemy attacks. We now have another modern, reliable well that meets all requirements,” emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The complex is equipped with an artesian well that is over 115 meters deep, yielding 3–4 cubic meters of water per hour. The water undergoes a complete purification cycle: aeration, mechanical filtration, reverse osmosis, ozonation, and carbon filter treatment.
This process ensures that the water meets hygienic standards for drinking consumption, as confirmed by laboratory analyses from the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Currently, there are 17 well complexes operating in various districts of Odesa.
