An action plan has been approved in Odesa to develop an accessible environment by 2026. The Barrier-Free Council, led by the city mayor, will oversee the implementation of these measures.
Experts from the municipal enterprise «Urban Roads» are currently working on installing ramps at pedestrian crossings throughout the city.
As of early 2025, a total of 85 ramps have been installed, 34 of which feature tactile paving on new surfaces as part of the «Barrier-Free Odesa» initiative.
