The incident occurred yesterday, February 7, around 10 PM. The victim suffered a serious arm injury.

The investigative team from the local police department preliminarily established that a 53-year-old man, living near the station, was on the platforms near the tracks and did not respond to the signals from the train driver. The driver attempted to brake suddenly, but could not avoid hitting the man. The victim was hospitalized with an amputated arm.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Odessa District Police Department No. 1 have entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns violations of traffic safety rules or railway transport operation that resulted in serious bodily harm. All circumstances of the incident are being established. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
