According to Dmitro Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department, a 46-year-old woman driving a «Ravon» lost control while leaving a car wash, damaging a fence and veering onto the sidewalk, where she struck a 7-year-old girl, pinning her against a parked «Renault».
The child was urgently hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of a pubic bone fracture, along with bruises and abrasions.
Authorities tested the driver for intoxication – she was sober.
The investigative team is looking into the circumstances of the incident. There is a question regarding the entry of information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and remain vigilant on the road.
