Experts from the Municipal Enterprise «Odesmiksvitlo» are actively engaged in improving the outdoor lighting system covering streets, parks, and squares in the city while also responding to emergency situations.

As part of scheduled activities, regular inspections of lighting objects (poles, distribution cabinets, fixtures, etc.) are conducted to identify malfunctions or acts of vandalism. Electricians perform tasks such as replacing outdated components, trimming tree branches, and addressing emergency incidents.

In the 11 months of 2024, within the framework of ongoing repairs, 2390 fixtures and 380 brackets were replaced, along with 75003 meters of new cabling installed.

Additionally, the employees undertook the trimming of 7632 trees that were obstructing the power lines.

Moreover, specialists from «Odesmiksvitlo» carried out the replacement of street lighting poles.

Due to emergency situations (bad weather, traffic accidents, etc.) or the expiration of service life, lighting poles may become unusable. The process of replacing poles is quite labor-intensive and is carried out using special equipment (cranes).

Since the beginning of 2024, in just 11 months, the specialists replaced 64 emergency poles, 10 of which were damaged due to traffic accidents.

In October of this year, an act of vandalism was reported on the Health Route, where unknown individuals damaged the equipment of 10 poles, stealing automatic switches and terminal box covers, as well as tearing out cables.
