Today, the Heroes' Alley in Taras Shevchenko Park saw the unveiling of new information stands dedicated to 144 fallen defenders of Ukraine.
In total, the Heroes' Alley now features information about 421 heroes. Efforts to commemorate their memory are ongoing.
“Each of these heroes is a part of the great strength that has allowed Ukraine to endure and continue its fight for a free future. Their deeds are the foundation of our independence, and we must remember this. Thanks to their selflessness, we can live, work, and build the future of our state today,” said the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, at the request of relatives, Christmas trees have been set up near the Alley, which children from the families of fallen defenders will decorate with handmade ornaments as part of the St. Nicholas Day celebrations.
