Work is underway in Odesa to restore tram route No. 18, connecting Kulikove Pole with the Memorial of the 411th Battery.
The mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with the leadership of the housing cooperative «Morsky-1». Prior to the full-scale war, the cooperative committed to updating the tram turning loop at the 16th station of the Great Fountain, located next to a residential complex under construction. However, due to the war, the cooperative is currently unable to fulfill the agreement in its entirety.
«We have reached an agreement with the cooperative's management regarding joint participation in the construction of a temporary tram exit. The cooperative will purchase the materials, while the municipal enterprise «Odesmiskelektrontrans» will carry out all the work,» noted Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Experts predict that a full launch of route No. 18 will take two months. Currently, the clearing of the tracks from debris, branches, and sprouts from the 12th station of the Great Fountain to the Memorial of the 411th Battery has already begun.
