The municipal services of Odesa have begun preparations for the spring season. Specialists from the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» are preparing fountain equipment for reactivation and launch in the upcoming 2025 season. Traditionally, the first fountain to be launched in Odesa is located at the Theatre Square on April 1st.
Currently, experts are preparing fountains located at the Theatre Square, in the Victory Dendropark (the «Mermaid» fountain), in the Cosmonauts Square, at the Cathedral Square, and the fountain at the intersection of Ak. Zabolotny Street and Krymsky Boulevard (the largest fountain in Odesa).
The reactivation process is carried out in stages, and usually by the end of April, all Odesa fountains delight residents and visitors with their beauty and freshness. However, due to current circumstances, not all fountains can be turned on.
To preserve the fountain equipment in working order during winter, functional elements such as nozzles, motors, and pumping equipment have been dismantled and stored in specially designated places.
In addition, the staff performs daily routine work, including cleaning and washing the assigned objects and areas.
Currently, ongoing repairs are being conducted in the water dispensing area and cleaning fallen leaves from the roof and clearing the drains of the well complex located on I. Rabin Street.
Furthermore, specialists are performing current repairs on the tiled surface and faucets in the water dispensing area of the well complex located in the Starobazarny Square.
The employees of the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» maintain the wells, monuments of monumental art, ponds in the Victory Park, protective modular structures, city fountains, and their adjacent areas in proper sanitary and working condition throughout the year.
