Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov welcomed participants of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative Technologies in Urban Planning».
The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
Opening the conference, Oleksandr Filatov emphasized that since the onset of the armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the local authorities are faced with the urgent task of restoring destroyed facilities, many of which are architectural and historical landmarks.
«Equally important today is the planning of territories, the development of urban planning documentation that considers how they should look after the end of hostilities. Scientific contributions that incorporate the experience of professionals and the implementation of innovative technologies are essential. I hope that the outcomes of this conference will provide materials that support the ongoing reconstruction of our city and country», he stressed.
The V International Scientific and Practical Conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre, the Odessa City Council, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland), and other partners.
