Since the beginning of the year, there have been 8 cases of train surfing in Ukraine, resulting in injuries to 9 children. For just a few seconds of thrill, teenagers put themselves in grave danger.

Remember:

Electric shocks, falls, or collisions rarely offer a second chance.

Why is train surfing not just risky, but potentially deadly?

With voltages up to 27,000 volts, an electric shock can occur instantly without even touching the wires.

A fall from a height – one sudden movement can change everything forever.

Collisions with obstacles – bridges, tunnels, supports at speeds of 60-100 km/h – can be fatal.

What to do if you see someone on a train car or hanging on a transport?

  • Notify the station staff or railway workers.
  • Call the UZ hotline: 0 800 503 111 (toll-free).
  • Contact the National Police (102) or Emergency Services (101).
  • Remember the location of the incident for accurate reporting.

Parents, your vigilance is key to your children's safety!

Talk to teenagers about the dangers of train surfing.

Monitor their social media content – extreme videos can encourage risky behavior.

Pay attention to new interests in your child – a sudden fascination with transport or extreme videos may be a warning sign.

TEENAGERS, THINK ABOUT IT!

Likes on social media aren't worth risking your life.

If friends suggest train surfing – say "no"!

If you see someone planning a dangerous stunt, notify an adult or call 102. Your awareness could save a life!
