Law enforcement officials have apprehended a poacher who illegally caught 180 kg of fish, causing the state losses exceeding 600,000 hryvnias. This was reported by the fish protection patrol.
During a raid at Tudorsky Lake in the Yas'kiv community, inspectors from the Odesa fish protection patrol, together with border guards and police, discovered a man who had illegally caught 348 breams, 23 crucians, and one carp using two nets from a boat.
"A protocol has been drawn up against the offender for gross violations of fishing rules, and materials are being prepared for opening a criminal case. The illegal catch, fishing gear, boat, and engine have been confiscated" - the report stated.
