The Arciz community from the Bolhrad region participated in an extended meeting of the Local and Regional Governments Congress presidium, held in Kyiv under the chairmanship of Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office of Ukraine. The event took place in a video conference format, uniting over 330 participants from across the country, as reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration.
During the meeting, critical issues regarding regional development, implementation of government initiatives in communities, and legislative support for regional policy were discussed.
Particular attention was given to the need for establishing effective communication between local and central authorities, which would enable quicker responses to challenges and solutions to community problems.
As a result of voting, Liliya Pashinna was elected as the new head of the Congress Office — the leader of the Ukrainian delegation in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
The Arciz community, as an active participant in the Congress, will continue to engage in shaping development policies at the local level, advocating for the interests of its residents and promoting the implementation of European governance standards.
