Last week, in honor of the Defenders of Ukraine Day, a special event focused on physical and mental health was organized in Odessa for military personnel, veterans, and their families. This initiative was supported by the Health Department of the city.
During the event, healthcare professionals conducted various examinations, including blood pressure measurements, blood glucose levels, and ECGs for military personnel and their families. When necessary, participants were referred for consultations with specialists and laboratory tests.
To assess the mental health of the participants, access to free psychological assistance was provided through the national program "How are you?".
As a result of the event, 408 individuals underwent medical check-ups, all had their blood pressure and glucose levels checked. A total of 136 ECGs were conducted, and 103 cases of health issues were identified, with patients referred to specialists. Additionally, 84 consultations with psychologists were provided.
