As of May 15, motorcycle patrols are back on the streets of Odesa and Izmail. Police officers on motorcycles are contributing to maintaining public safety.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of Odesa region via their Telegram channel.
According to law enforcement, motorcycle patrols are more agile and maneuverable, enabling them to respond quickly to accidents and apprehend offenders attempting to flee. Their ability to navigate through traffic jams significantly enhances police operational efficiency.
All motorcycle patrols are equipped with modern communication devices and personal protective equipment, having also undergone additional training in first aid.
It is worth noting that in Odesa, there has been a rule in place for over a month allowing motorcycles and mopeds to use dedicated public transport lanes. Previously, this privilege was exclusive to cyclists.
