A significant rowing competition took place in Kyiv, honoring the memory of the esteemed coach Stanislav Zahoria.
Twenty-eight teams from across Ukraine participated in the tournament. Odesa was represented by a team of adaptive veteran athletes who were injured during the war but are now actively involved in sports, proving that willpower and team spirit can overcome any barriers.
Prior to the tournament, the Odesa team trained, familiarized themselves with the route, and prepared for the competition - the upcoming distances required endurance, teamwork, and inner strength. The competition was fierce, and the opponents were strong.
During the event, Odesa's rowers demonstrated a high level of preparation and determination to win, securing prize positions in the rowing competitions. It was the spirit, resilience, daily training, and genuine team support that brought them the well-deserved results.
This victory is not just a sporting achievement but also an important step toward full recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes prove that nothing is impossible.
Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and the creation of equal opportunities for everyone.
