The Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library is hosting an exhibition of works by Serhiy Basok, a well-known artist-decorator of the Odesa Musical Comedy Theater.
The exhibition is titled "Colors of Ukraine". It features landscapes from various regions that the artist has visited:
"You can see Chernihiv, the Carpathians, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions. There is even a sketch from Crimea created before 2013. And of course, Odesa, especially the northern part, where there are houses by the reeds. Budak is a true gem. On one side is the lagoon, on the other is the sea, and a 40-kilometer spit stretches between them", the artist shared his impressions.
The exhibition "Colors of Ukraine" provides an opportunity to view familiar places from a new perspective and discover new corners of our country through color and emotion, the organizers noted.
"I paint what resonates with me, what I feel. The main thing is to have positivity in my soul, which I convey through painting. If the painting 'sings' on the canvas, it begins to resonate with the viewer. I embed some emotion into it, and the colors come alive on the canvas. This is, in my opinion, very important", Serhiy Basok added.
