On February 28, 2025, the Golden Hall of the Odesa Literature Museum hosted the award ceremony and concert for the winners of the III International Piano Competition titled "The Universe of J.S. Bach." Young musicians from Odesa, Kyiv, Dnipro, Myrgorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, and even China participated in the event.
The aim of the competition is to support gifted students from specialized art institutions, develop the national piano tradition, promote polyphonic works by Ukrainian composers, and enhance the polyphonic skills of young pianists.
«This unique competition has been held for the third consecutive year, uniting us through the music of the brilliant composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Events like this strengthen cultural ties between Odesa and Europe,» said Ivan Liptuga, the director of the International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing Department of the Odesa City Council.
The laureates showcased their skills in performing works by J.S. Bach. The winners received diplomas and awards for their achievements.
The competition was founded by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odesa City Council, with the Odesa Art School No. 3 serving as the organizer.
