From April 14 to 16, 2025, the Odessa School of Arts No. 1 named after E. G. Hilels hosted the National Contest of Folk Instrument Performers titled 'Colors of the Rainbow'.
The contest featured 111 talented participants, including children and youth from various artistic educational institutions in Ukraine: 77 soloists and 8 ensembles.
Participants came from a wide range of locations: Odessa, Chornomorsk, Izmail, Tatarbunary, and towns like Pechenizhyn, Lokachi, Cherkasy, Hordynia, Chernihiv, Smila, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Sloboda, Lutsk, and Kharkiv.
On April 16, a gala concert and an award ceremony for the winners of the 'Colors of the Rainbow' contest took place.
The laureates received certificates and participated in the concert.
As part of the contest, there was also a master class and chamber concert led by People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Murza from the Odessa National Music Academy, along with a creative meeting with the esteemed Nina Morozevich.
Additionally, a presentation on 'Video Sequence in the Concert Performance of a Modern Guitarist as a Factor for Expanding Communicative Properties' was conducted by Dr. Ivan Kosynets.
