From November 3 to 11, the village of Boyany in the Chernivtsi region hosted the Ukrainian boxing championship for boys and girls born in 2011-2012. A total of 370 athletes from 22 regions of Ukraine participated in the competition.

Representing Odessa were athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 8, Oleksandr Shchupak, and boxing club 'Livsha', Ismail Ismailov.

Oleksandr Shchupak competed in the 80 kg category, winning three bouts and becoming the champion of Ukraine among boys. His coaches were Volodymyr Osipchuk and Ihor Hordiienko.

In the 54 kg category, Ismail Ismailov secured three victories and a gold medal. He was trained by the honored coaches of Ukraine, Nuredin Alibeyli and Azer Mustafaev.

The Odessa regional team also claimed victory in the overall team standings among boys. The winners of the competition will be included in the reserve of the national boxing team of Ukraine.
