The National Police of Ukraine, together with the Security Service and the Ministry of Education, have launched online lessons to educate children on avoiding recruitment into criminal networks.
Malicious actors are attempting to lure Ukrainian children into dangerous activities. Therefore, students receive practical advice on how to recognize threats and what to do if they are approached for recruitment for arson or sabotage.
Juvenile police officers, along with the Security Service, have been conducting informational campaigns for several months to raise awareness among children about recruitment dangers.
«Ukraine has over 12,000 schools, and these lessons are conducted both online and offline. Be sure to tell your friends about the dangers of recruitment so that you don’t become a tool of hybrid warfare. Being informed means being armed», the police emphasize.
To support the children, renowned boxer Oleksandr Usyk joined the campaign:
«Today, Russian special services want to use you to harm Ukraine. Don’t fall for their tricks. Don’t let them turn you into a weapon against your homeland. Being cool means using your head», said the champion.
He advised young people to report suspicious offers from strangers on social media to their parents or contact the National Police and Security Service if they are offered money for arson or to carry unknown packages.
«This is how you can protect yourself and your loved ones. Be smart, be strong, and don’t let anyone use you. We are Ukrainians, and we always win», the athlete urged.
