The city of Odesa recently held the II (territorial) stage of sports competitions as part of the project «Together in the Ukrainian School Leagues» for students of general secondary education institutions in the 2024/2025 academic year.
School teams competed for victory in volleyball and rugby-5.
According to the results of the volleyball matches among girls in grades 5-9, the teams from Odesa Lyceums No. 7, 56, 86, and Odesa Gymnasium No. 25 advanced to the city III stage, while among girls in grades 9-11, the teams from Odesa Lyceums No. 13, 51, 62, and Odesa Specialized School No. 32 qualified.
The victory in the II stage of the volleyball competition among boys in grades 5-9 went to the teams from Odesa Lyceums No. 5, 89, and Odesa Gymnasium No. 77, while the teams from Odesa Lyceums No. 24, 84, «Langeronivsky», and Odesa Specialized School No. 32 won among boys in grades 9-11.
The rugby-5 competitions among students of general secondary education institutions took place in the city's sports halls for the first time. This exciting game develops speed, coordination, team spirit, and strategic thinking, allowing teams to create original tactical situations that require good communication and interaction from players.
The winners of the II stage of the rugby-5 competitions were the teams from Odesa Lyceums No. 28, 40, and 69.
All participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, skill, and unwavering will to win. New achievements lie ahead, and teams are diligently preparing for upcoming competitions.

The project «Together in the Ukrainian School Leagues» is the largest student competition in the country among students of general secondary education institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year, held under the slogan «Together We Will Win». The goal is to increase the number of students who engage in sports regularly and lead a healthy lifestyle.
