The Ukrainian startup Farsight Vision has secured €7.2 million in investment from European investors with the support of the Brave1 platform. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The company, a participant of Brave1, is developing AI tools for intelligence that are deployed on the battlefield to assist military personnel in making faster decisions.
The platform analyzes terrain data and provides UAV operators with real-time, accurate battlefield information. The Ministry refers to this platform as a technological alternative to satellite reconnaissance.
“When Ukrainian startups attract investments from global players, it signals trust in our technologies and confirms that Ukraine is setting the standard for modern warfare,” the statement reads.
According to the Ministry, Farsight Vision intends to use the funds to develop robotic solutions for logistics, navigation, and weapon management, as well as to enhance battlefield protection and critical infrastructure using AI.
Meanwhile, according to Defender Media, the team plans to integrate its developments into a single system to boost the autonomy of combat drones. This solution will cover reconnaissance, target formation with coordinates, target transfer to strike drones, and navigation during the final flight phase.
Defender Media reports that the investment round was led by the American corporation Axon Enterprise and the Estonian state fund SmartCap Defence Fund. Other participants included Polish Radix Ventures, Swiss Anker Capital, and Danish Final Frontier. Additionally, the Estonian Darkstar fund, one of the first investors in Farsight Vision, also made a follow-on investment in the startup.
According to the publication, the company’s solutions enable real-time conversion of drone imagery into 3D models and orthophotos with integrated object detection and anomaly tracking, even in the absence of GNSS, and are compatible with battle management systems, mobile applications, simulators, and VR tools.
