As part of the initiative «Establishing Digital Educational Centers (DLC) and Providing Psychosocial Support for Children and Youth», Digital Educational Centers DLC No. 27 and No. 28 have been launched at Odesa Lyceums No. 9 and No. 65.
These centers offer various opportunities for children's education:
- taking tests and assessing knowledge in core subjects using artificial intelligence;
- addressing learning gaps through group sessions in subjects such as mathematics, Ukrainian history, Ukrainian and English languages, physics, biology, and chemistry;
- children can engage in board games, enjoy the educational game «Minecraft», watch films, and socialize with peers in a relaxed environment;
- specialists will conduct «Life Lessons» – training sessions on digital literacy, online safety, psychological resilience, communication skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship;
- qualified psychologists will provide emotional support in both individual and group sessions;
- during career orientation testing, children will learn about their intelligence type and receive recommendations on essential and additional professions, as well as participate in online tours of leading Ukrainian companies;
- organizing educational and developmental events, workshops, festivals, and flash mobs.
The centers will operate during holidays, with a plan to systematically conduct classes to address educational losses.
The primary goal of the Digital Educational Centers (DLC) is to ensure continuous learning for children and adolescents, address educational losses, provide opportunities for informal education activities, and offer psychosocial support for children, adolescents, their parents, and teachers, as well as enhance teachers' professional competencies through the implementation of modern digital technologies.
This project is implemented by the Association of Innovative and Digital Education in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) with the support of the Japanese government.
