A new state-of-the-art fibrogastroscope has been launched at the consultative-diagnostic center No. 6 in Odesa.
This device is equipped with chromoscopy modes that allow for assessing the condition of the mucosa and early detection of oncological diseases, as well as diagnosing gastritis, ulcers, and other gastric pathologies, and removing foreign bodies.
Thanks to the modern video processor and monitor, the doctor receives a clear and high-quality image during examinations.
The processor has photo and video recording capabilities, enabling the documentation of pathological changes in the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum to determine further treatment strategies.
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) in Odesa's medical facilities is provided free of charge under the state medical guarantee program based on an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine.
Last year, over 24,500 procedures were performed in the city's medical institutions. It is recommended to undergo gastroscopy routinely after the age of 50, even in the absence of complaints.
Odesa's medical facilities are equipped with modern diagnostic equipment for performing esophagogastroduodenoscopy. The service is available on an outpatient basis with a referral from a family or treating doctor.
