Last week, under the initiative «Donor Odesa», a mobile blood donation event was held at the Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1, facilitated by a team from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station.
Approximately 30 staff members and visitors participated in donating blood. The hospital staff has been actively involved in blood donation both at the facility and during the ongoing citywide campaign «Donate Blood — Save Lives».
The demand for blood donations has significantly increased since the onset of the war, as it is critical for treating injured defenders of Ukraine and other patients.
Any interested groups can organize a mobile blood donation event at their premises, and here’s how:
1. Gather a group of 25-50 willing donors and ensure they have no absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions.

3. Adhere to specific dietary restrictions and medication guidelines the day before donating.
