Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held an important meeting with representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, discussing the significance of US support.

This was reported by the press service of the President's Office on the evening of July 2, according to "European Truth".

Among the attendees were representatives from companies such as Horizon Capital, Cisco Systems, Unilever, Carlsberg, Avrora Multimarket, Microsoft, KPMG, Winner Imports, Coca-Cola, Cargill, CHS, Citibank, AON, CBRE, OTIS, KBR.

Additionally, representatives from Pfizer, Google, Baker Hughes, WTW, Wooden Horse, Parsons Corporation, Visa, AGCO, McDonald’s, Honeywell, ADM, Raytheon, MasterCard, Auterion, CRH, TechMet, Argentem Creek, Boeing, D&M Holding, IBM, Shield AI, and the president of the American Chamber of Commerce Andriy Gunder were present.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the American business community for their presence in Ukraine, emphasizing that it reflects the stability of the country. He highlighted that Ukraine appreciates the bipartisan support from the US.

"Signals regarding the risks of reducing or slowing assistance from the US are not in the interest of either American or Ukrainian businesses, as Patriot systems protect everyone from Russian aggression. These air defense systems save lives and preserve production capabilities for all," the president stated.

Andriy Gunder noted the resilience of Ukraine during wartime, mentioning that 88 members of the chamber have relatives serving in the Armed Forces. He also shared that 53% of companies have suffered damage to their facilities and offices due to Russian shelling.

"One of the things we always ask the American government for is to ensure protection for American businesses here and provide Patriot missiles," he said.

Meeting participants emphasized the importance of continuing support and strengthening Ukraine's air defense.

As reported, on July 1-2, American media reported that the Pentagon had suspended deliveries of certain air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine due to concerns that US weapon stocks were too low.

Later, President Zelensky stated that Ukraine is "working at levels" to clarify details regarding military aid supplies from the US following reports of the suspension.

The WSJ reported that the Trump administration's decision to suspend some military aid to Ukraine concerned weapons already stored in Poland.
