An international delegation from the UN, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently visiting Odesa.

This visit, organized by UNDP, aims to enhance collaboration between international agencies and local Ukrainian authorities.

During their working visit, the delegation toured various projects supported by the UN in the region.

The Mayor of Odesa expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to the city, particularly in the reconstruction of one of the wards at Hospital No. 8.

Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that while the facility does not specialize in emergency care, it has saved numerous lives, including those injured in hostile attacks requiring urgent medical attention. This was made possible thanks to the highly skilled staff working with modern equipment.

Additionally, the participants discussed further cooperation opportunities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage and drainage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
