Experts from the KУ «SMEP» are engaged in the installation of road delineators and metal posts along pedestrian areas.
These initiatives contribute to:
- ensuring pedestrian safety – preventing vehicles from driving on sidewalks and green areas;
- organizing parking – preventing chaotic parking, especially in narrow places;
- separating traffic flows – delineators help maintain traffic lanes and reduce the risk of accidents.
According to p. 11.13 of the traffic rules, vehicle movement on sidewalks and pedestrian paths is prohibited. Additionally, p. 15.10 of the traffic rules prohibits parking on sidewalks.
Sidewalks — are spaces for pedestrians, the elderly, and people with limited mobility. It is crucial to ensure safety and comfort for pedestrians, especially near healthcare facilities and areas with high pedestrian traffic.
